Talon 540 Robotics - What a Season!

I am so very proud of this group of amazing young adults and incredible mentors! It was another challenging and exciting year for Talon 540. I am so grateful to be a mentor and "food Mom" for this great group! As our coach always states, "We are more than a robot, we are a family".

It was a very exciting playing field this year with a steam punk theme involving a tower, gears, and more. The biggest challenge for the robots was scaling/climbing to the top before the end of the match.

I think everyone of us was holding our breath during the last final match of the competition at Va Tech. Proud to say our team placed first during this event!!!

We found our next district rounds at Deep Run High School in Richmond a bit more of a challenge. At States at VCU we also faced many challenges and sadly did not get the chance to go to Worlds this year. Although we all were sad to not have the chance to compete at Worlds this year, we are proud of what we have learned and where the ride will take us next year! Let's go 5-4-0!!!!!!
