Birthday Adventure in Rome

A birthday adventure to Rome. Woke up to snow. The first time in 10 years that they have had snow. Turns out the city shuts down when it snows, but we managed to have fun anyway!

Walking through a snow covered city. So breathtaking!

Colisseum by moonlight and snow covered. I don't even have the words.

One lucky girl! Thanks to this guy for the best birthday adventure!

And the food . . . oh the food! This place was our favorite. The chefs were having the best time joking in Italian and preparing our delicious meals.

So yummy!

Despite the fact that I'm vegan or the crazy cold temps, you have to have gelato when in Rome - right?! Totally worth it!

We threw our pennies in the Trevari Fountain, guaranteeing a return trip one day.

Oh Bernini, you are a true Master. The art in Rome was also beyond words. I could have spent several more days seeing it and enjoying it all!

Having some fun and channeling some Audrey Hepburn at the mouth of truth.

Pinza (the original pizza), so delish!

Lots of entertaining street performers despite the cold temps.

Breathtaking Vatican. We even got to see (on the tv screen) and hear the Pope.
